Further information on Tremisana Game Lodge can be found at http://www.tremisana.com
Tremisana is the largest and leading lodge in the Balule section of Kruger Park.
We have a total of 15 chalets plus a two-bedroomed Guest House. Every unit is thatched, is air-conditioned and en suite ( shower, toilet, basin ) and has a tea/coffee station. Insect-proof screens are fitted on all windows.

Sparkling pool at Tremisana
There is a splash pool, open air boma for dinners around a crackling fire and a covered lapa overlooking a waterhole. A very beautiful luxuriant garden boasts numerous bougainvilleas, palms and cycads which give the camp a subtropical tone. Water features add a soothing effect and the overall feel of Tremisana Lodge is very relaxing. At night, the subdued light along the illuminated paved walkways lend a romantic and magical feel to this outstanding camp.

The lodge is serviced by two excellent boreholes. Its proximity to the tar road means Tremisana is easily accessible all year round, including the rainy season. The presence of lions, elephants and buffalo necessitates the maintaining of an electric fence around the camp.
A troop of Vervet Monkeys has learned how to avoid being shocked and has made Tremisana their permanent home. Their antics never fail to amuse and enthrall our guests.

Mindful of the increasing demand of tourists to have extended walks in the bush, away from the crowds, 2008 saw the introduction of a new product: A Big Five game walk accompanied by armed rangers. Our guests really enjoy getting close to Nature while tracking the Big Five.

2010 saw the introduction of a new product: A game drive in the Big Five Tshukudu Game Reserve. The game drives on Tshukudu are excellent and the rangers are in constant radio contact with one another. Unlike Kruger Park, off-road driving is permitted to get a better photo of the Big Five.

RECENT GUEST FEEDBACK
"An Experience I Will Carry for All My Life"
Tremisana Game Lodge
Jon T - Trier, Germany October 9, 2011
Ever since I was a child I dreamed of a safari in Africa. "Viva Safari" the mother company for the Tremisana Lodge and organized photo safaris fulfilled that dream.
It was affordable, extremely comfortable, and unpretentious. The lodge is situated in the middle of a private game reserve where many of the animals I came to see in Africa came to the fence of the lodge. All of the staff members were incredible as they were all there to meet my needs, but more importantly, they taught me about the beauty and the spirit of the African bush. I learned so much about the country, as well as about myself and "the artificial world" that I live in. For me, it was a life changing experience.
The 5-day tour that I signed up for included early morning and night drives, walking tours, drives through Kruger proper, and an animal rehabilitation center. Thanks to the expert guides I saw everything such as the Big 5 (elephants, lions, buffalos, rhinoceros, and leopard) as well as everything else that lives in this beautiful country. I will never go to a zoo again since I have seen the majesty of these animals in the wild, and have learned a great respect for the balance of nature.
The guests who stayed at Tremisana or engaged in the Viva Safari tours were also great. They were down to earth, warm, not demanding, and very easy to connect with. On one of our tours we joined up a higher end lodge, and the guests were clearly much more aloof than those from Tremisana.
Florence, Bongabi, Peter, Wimpy, Isaac, Tabo, the cooking staff (sorry I don't remember your names, but remember your great food), and all the other staff, thank you so much for making my childhood dream come true.

My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Tremisana Lodge for 4 nights.
The itinerary is perfect and brilliantly organised, the staff are unbelievably hospitable and friendly. The hostess Pearl definitely stands out in my mind. She was always ready to go the extra mile and made us feel not just welcome but at home.
The guides are of a very high standard. There is always a spotter on board who listens and looks and (without fail) spots each and every animal. They are of such a high standard that travellers from other lodges were joining our expeditions.
We experienced a bush walk which was exhilarating but entirely safe, definitely recommended.
The lodge's surrounding game reserve is teeming with animal life and you cannot escape it (not that you would want to). From Giraffe and buck crossing the road constantly to lions lazing in front of the entrance it really is breathtaking.
We were taken into the Kruger and once again the Tremisana ranger was excellent. We were very lucky to sight 4 of the Big 5 on the day, with a very close, hair raising encounter with a bull elephant, a situation brilliantly eased out of by our guide.
Overall the itinerary left no-one wanting. (We had Irish, British, Indian and Mexican people in our group, all of which were smiling from ear to ear)
Furthermore the food at the lodge is out of this world, seriously, and there are always copious amounts thereof as I found myself going back for thirds and fourths.
The whole place really is inexplicably warm and welcoming and for the four days I had the privilege of spending there it truly was my home away from home.
The rooms are sufficient, beds are comfortable, all amenities are covered.
I truly recommend Tremisana Game Lodge to everyone and I will, without a doubt, return sooner rather than later.
