Backpacker Safaris at Marc's Adventure Camp

Compared to other similarly priced backpacker safaris that use small 2-man tents, Marc's Adventure Camp offers fantastic accommodation. Marc's Adventure Camp comprises eight en suite chalets, an entertainment area including a bar, dining room and TV lounge. A large pool and boma are centrally situated and at night the whole area is illuminated by a powerful floodlight.

ITINERARY

FOUR DAY SAFARI STAYING AT TREMISANA (1 NIGHT) AND MARC'S ADVENTURE CAMP (2 NIGHTS)

1 NIGHT

DAY ONE : We collect you safely from your hostel or the airport and drive via Dullstroom or Nelspruit to Tremisana Game Lodge. At around 17h00 you board the Open Vehicle and go on a 3h Sunset Game Drive. After dark, our ranger will use a powerful spotlight to identify nocturnal species. Dinner in our Boma will be a typical South African meal enjoyed around a sparkling fire under the canopy of African stars.

Chalet Interior

DAY TWO : Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life. Drive to a remote part of the Balule Plains, where you enjoy a 4h Bush Walk. Your experienced field guide will lead you through the bush. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals until you can take a photo will remain with you forever. Adrenalin surges will be acute, notwithstanding the presence of your armed ranger. Return to Tremisana for brunch. At 14h30 we go on an afternoon game drive. Transfer to Marc's Adventure Camp.

DAY THREE : After breakfast, we board the Open Game Viewer and travel to Kruger's Orpen Gate for a full day of game viewing and bird watching. Your guide will attempt to show you as many animals as possible in this premier Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Marc's Adventure Camp.

DAY FOUR : Early morning coffee and rusks before your armed ranger conducts an exciting Bush Walk. You will be shown the spoor and droppings of animals big and small and will learn about tracking. After breakfast we drive via the Blyde River Canyon stopping at the Three Rondawels. Hostel and airport dropoff by arrangement.
